Hultcrantz

Frida Hultcrantz is a Swedish visual artist living in Finland. After her master’s degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki in 2008 and after a year as an exchange student at the Staedelschule in Frankfurt Am Main, she studied fashion design for a year at Helsinki School of Arts, Design and Architecture. Frida has worked in Finland since then, from her studio in Lovisa. Frida has exhibited in Helsinki, Berlin, Gothenburg, Porvoo and Stockholm, among others. In recent years, she has worked with oil on plexiglass, a new and exciting material that she wants to continue to explore. Frida wants to use transparency to build exhibitions where her painting takes on a new role, where the viewer is crucial.

Frida always starts from her gut feeling when she paints. According to Frida, it is important to keep the senses awake and to pay attention to the time and space where you are. Frida has designed a workshop that focuses on just that. In her workshop you will create from your inner room.
